*one, untitled.

Every night I empty my heart
but by morning it's full again
Slow droplets of you seep in
through the night's soft caress

At dawn I overflow with thoughts
of us, an aching pleasure that
gives me no respite

Love cannot be contained
the neat packaging of desire splits
asunder, spilling crimson through
my days, long languishing

Days that are now bruised
tender with yearning
spent searching for a fingerprint
a scent, a breath you left behind.

KLue Urbanscapes 2009.

attended my first Urbanscapes at KLpac the other day.

just in case you have no clue what Urbanscapes is, it's an event organised by KLue and is the first and only all-day “user-generated” creative arts festival.

Urbanscapes aims to bring together communities and participants from the fields of music, arts, fashion/lifestyle and film under a single banner to showcase the best of the local scene. this year, it features involvement from KLue's sister publications Junk and Tongue In Chic. Junk will be hosting the music stages, while Tongue In Chic will be bringing some colour and fashion flair to the marketplace.

i was pretty much awed out by the place. there were so many artsy stuff to see there, and the handmade trinkets and funky clothing were abundant. i wish i had enough money to buy everything that i liked. :D and the people omg the PEOPLE! so many different people there, it was a refreshing sight to see.

this is definitely the place to go when i want to experience the urban music and modern arts in Malaysia. : )

but i have to say that the best thing about being there was seeing so many famous blogger around. one of the biggest goals on my list that i made before i came to KL to study was to see all of my favourite bloggers in the flesh.

and at Urbanscapes was where my dream came true.

i caught my favouriteJENIFER of JENNIHSURF.NET, SMASHPOP of SMASHPOP.NET, SUET LI of SWEATLEE.COM and her boipren barry, SU ANN of QUAINTLY.NET, and the awesome: JOYCE of KINKYBLUEFAIRY.NET!!!

i couldn't stop squealing like an uber fan when i saw them. especially when i caught jen and joyce. both of them are my super favourites. : )))) funny thing though because i only caught jen by recognizing smashpop's friend rames. heehee. :P

KLpac, the building.

zouk was there! they were selling shirts and promoting music.

tall trees outside the building.

they had some awesome creations in the building. this one has fishies in them. : )

tees!

yet another awesome art design thing upstairs.

funky thingey.

handmade lovies! one for RM10.90 though. O_O

karya! my favourite stall within the building.

hand-printed tees. RM15 for each shirt, and if you want a multicolour print, all you have to do is add RM1! :D

got myself one. : )

one of their best-selling prints. mine's this one too. : )

karya buttons! i've gotten a bunch. : )

impromptu acting. super love!

the actors and actresses were hilarious! love them. : )

funky shirts sold at the vendors outside the building.

more handmade trinkets! i love them to bits.

block thingies that you can customise. RM80 per block.

we found lots of owl prints at the place somehow. very kiut though. : )

me and meen, photograph with the pictures taken with the lomograph camera.

my sisters would've loved the vendors to bits. even i'm happy just by looking at them! : )

handmade lomocam necklaces! : )

it was one of the best experiences ever. :D wish i'd taken more pictures though.

i personally can't wait for the urbanscapes event next year!! ^_^

A Mourning.

i still remembered how you were one of the first i ever looked up to.

i still remembered wrapping my fingers in masking tape just because you did it too.

i still remembered my father imitating your moves just to make me smile.

i still remembered getting your "dangerous" album for my 5th birthday.

i still remembered those afternoons when i would watch your videos over and over again.

i still remembered all of your songs.

i still remembered the way i always oogled at the way you dance.

i still remembered your music, every rhythm triggering a memory of my childhood buried deep within me.

and forever and always i'll remember you,

mr. michael jackson.

rest in peace, our king of pop.

The Road Trip - Malacca.

"wake up it's a beautiful day"

lucy schwartz's voice serenaded me awake. i didn't even remember changing my alarm rintone. sometimes i can't even recognize it. outside a cold breeze crept slowly into my room, hugging me tight with its icy greeting.

classes are in an hour, and i'm lying in bed not wanting to move. had a good long rest last night. 12 hours of sleep was enough to compensate for the 24-hour fatigue state that i was in.

i stayed in bed, head resting on an arm behind it and thinking about the road trip. it was a fun one, because it was one of those "first-time" experiences that i had.

meen, dolling up before we hit the road.

170.5 kilometers per hour. that was the speed in which sim was working the vehicle. awesome shitz. : )

reached malacca in a really short time. dropped our bags at meen's grandma's place and proceeded with the food hunting.

heading into the wilderness that is the pasar malam near meen's place.

fruits. :D wish i could've gotten some along the way.

reached the ice-cream place that meen was looking forward to going.

and we had one of the best ice-creamz eva. super love.

thea, meen and syaz and their cuppa freezos.

2nd food to makanz: SATAY CELUP.

the amount of PEOPLE waiting to have this.

the satayz. :D

celup-ing them into the boiling peanut sauce. YUMZ.

them, doing their project while i munch on a shtick of shatay chelupz.

digging in.

moving on: putu piring.

the stall right outside their home, selling steamed rice cake with gula melaka and coconut shreds in them.

meen and the putu piring.

caught in the act.

finally got to visit the "eye on malaysia"!

doing their thang.

meenz.

syaza.

after the whole food trip, it was onto shopping paradise: jonker street!

arts and handicrafts.

one of the reasons why i love the place is because of its Arts. we don't get to see a lot of arts and crafts in malaysia so jonker street just speaks of LOVE to me. : )

didn't take many photos at jonker because the place was CONGESTED with people. had to stuff my huge ass camera into my bag instead. after going through the whole street we proceeded to chillax at a nearby bar.

singing our night away.

and this day marks the first time i stayed up the whole night and didn't sleep. it's surprising how i could make it through without a blink of sleep. O_O

the next morning before going off on our way home:

visit to christ church melaka.

meen: "my uncle built this."

macam bermakan angin kat luar malaysia je. XD

road trips are the shiznit.

thank you syaza, sim, meen and thea for experience. it's one of those life-memories worth remembering. : )
